KARACHI: Four people were killed and 11 others injured in different incidents in the metropolis on Tuesday.
Two boys, Sahmoon, 22, son of Shahid and Hammad, 25, son of Hameed, died while five others, Bilal, 28, son of Ashraf; Danish, 23, son of Ahmad; Waseem, Saif and Shahid Haider were injured when two vehicles collided with each other on a one-way road near Moin Khan Academy in Defense Housing Authority, Phase 4. The bodies and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC).
In another mishap, a teenager, Sheheryar, 19, resident of Baldia Town, Sector 19-D, drowned into sea at Hawkes Bay. Police took body to Maripur Police station. After the necessary legal formalities, it was handed over to heirs.
A man, Mohammad Ali, 60, died when a wall of an old building fell over him at Maryam Building in Punjabi Club area of Kharadar. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.
Separately, four youngsters, Shehbaz, 12, Muzzamil, 14 and two other unidentified boys aged, 16 and 18, were injured when a truck crushed them at Do-Minute Chowrangi in North Karachi. The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. Angry protesters later set the truck on fire.
Yet in another road accident, a man Javed, 45 and his wife Meher Bano, 30 was injured when a vehicle hit their motorcycle near police station of Saddar. Both injured were shifted to JPMC for treatment.
