Four killed, one injured in mishaps


KARACHI: Four people were killed and one other injured in separate mishaps in the metropolis on Wednesday.

A man, Mohsin, 30, son of Gulzar died and Arshad Ali, 35, son of Asghar, residents of Nazimabad injured when a speeding truck hit their motorcycle at Golimar Chowrangi. The body and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

In the wee hours of Wednesday, a man, Umair Zada, 35, son of Omer Shahab was electrocuted at his home in Muslim Town, Frontier Colony 2. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

Two, a youth, Usman, 14, son of Yasin and a man, Ayaz, 35, son of Abdullah Baloch, residents of Hawks Bay drowned in Sunheri Point, Hawks Bay. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for autopsies.

According to rescue sources, two another men, Iqbal, 25, and Sadiq, 60, were drowned into sea at Shah Murad area of Hub. The bodies were shifted to CHK for medico-legal formalities.
