Four killed, two injured in Karachi incidents


KARACHI: Four people were killed and two others injured in the city on Monday.

A youth, Munir Khan, 22, son of A Hameed Khan, a resident of Landhi, strangled himself to death at his home in Zamanabad in Landhi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

A drug addict, aged 22, was found dead near Al-Habib Masjid in Khokhrapar, Malir. The cause behind his death was stated to be use of excessiveness drug. The body was brought to morgue.

Separately, a 10-year-old child was found dead on the stairs of Abdul Aziz Mosque in Sector 5, New Karachi. The body was said to be a day old. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

An unidentified man was shot dead at Phool Chowk near Khajur Bazaar in Lee Market. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.

A youth Zakir, 25, son of Nisar, was wounded in firing by unidentified gunman at Nawaz Basti in Korangi. The injured was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.

A man, Saleem, 40, son of Basheer, was injured in a car accident in Korangi No 4. The injured was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
