Karachi: Expressing grave concern on five major electricity failures in seven days, former mayor of Karachi Niamatullah Khan Tuesday urged the government to give some urgent relief to Karachiites from this curse.
He said the KE in the holy month of Ramzan broke all its previous records of tormenting Karachiites. He said the KE and the federal government only talk about the difference between electricity demand and supply, but both are tight-lipped about when this gap between the demand and supply would be bridged.
He said the frustration of Singh government shows it has no power to take action against the K-Electric. He demanded from the federal government to take action in this regard and save the Karachiites relief from frequent power outages.
