KARACHI: Karachi Tranport Action Committee President, Mohammad Ashraf Banglori, on Sunday showed concern over rising inflation in the metropolis after slight increase in petroleum prices.
He demanded of the government to take action against profiteers as the prices of commodities were not reduced despite significant cut in the petroleum prices some time back but now they had been raised boldy with slight rise in the oil prices.
He said Commissioner Karachi had failed to control rising prices of commodities. Sindh government should take action against the profiteers so as to provide relief to the people hit by the price hike.
He said that profiteers mafia is more powerful than government, as the citizens of Karachi has been suffering from the inflation. Sindh government must rid Karachiites from profiteers mafia.
