KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Environment and Beach Development Dr Sikandar Mandhro on Monday said the Sindh government was bringing all measures into action for rights of minorities and security of their worshipping places.
“We believe in equal rights for all the citizens of Pakistan without any discrimination,” he said while addressing a meeting with Christian leader Michael Javed and Petron In-Chief of Pakistan Sikh Council Sardar Ramesh Singh.
Mandhro said the Sindh government was following the policy of taking measures for minorities as per consultation with their representatives.
“Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Bihai, Parsi and other minorities are creation of God. Pakistan’s citizens have equal rights they are our brothers. The government wants their welfare as per the satisfaction of their representatives,” he said.
The minister said if the representatives of minorities want any change in laws related to them they could send their proposals to the Sindh government.
