KARACHI: Media Coordinator Joint Action Committee, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center & National Institute of Child Health, Ameer Hussain Shah, on Monday said health professional allowance issue will be resolved soon.
He shared this information while addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club. Executive Members Joint Action Committee Gul Saeed Khan, Abdul Wahid, Murtaza Haidery, Faisal, Qadeer and Ismail Jasqani were also present.
Ameer Shah informed that negotiations of health department officials with Joint Action Committee members had remained successful. He further informed that secretary finance had already signed the summery of health professional allowance and chief secretary Sindh had moved it for consultation.
He said health department officials sought time for approval of summery, therefore, Joint Action Committee had called off strike. He said if the summery of health professional allowances is not approved till 20th June 2015, then employees will resume their protest.
He categorically disowned some elements who tried to sabotage peaceful protest demonstration of employees under the name of Joint Action Committee. He said they will not allow such elements to use Joint Action Committee’s name for sake of their political interests.
He said health employees does not want to cause inconvenience to visiting patients and just want early approval of health professional allowance
