KARACHI: IG Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali on Wednesday directed DIG Rapid Response Force Aftab Pathan to take concrete measures to stop illegal sale and transportation of Irani petrol and arrest the criminals along their heads who are involved in this business.
He said this while addressing a high level meeting at Central Police Office, where security steps on arrival of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan were also discussed along other decisions.
Jamali directed Additional IG Karachi to take action against drug dens on daily basis and present report on the arrests already made in this connection.
“Unexceptional steps should be taken against social evils so that peace in the city could be restored and the fruits of police’s struggle could be transferred to the citizens,” he said.
The IG directed that all mosques, imam bargahs, religious seminaries, worshipping places of minorities, examination centers, educational centers, sensitive installations and public places should be protected by regular non-discriminatory actions.
He also directed DIG traffic Karachi to ensure implementation on traffic plan for easy flow of traffic in the city.
