Implementation of special quotas urged


Karachi: Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana has asked the Administrative Secretaries, Commissioners and other heads of the department to ensure insertion  of the special/reserve quota viz; women, special persons and minorities in the advertisements of vacancies otherwise, Hotiana warned that they  would be held responsible.

He expressed this view while addressing a meeting to review the progress of the resolution of minorities issues, attended by the Secretaries of Law, Implementation, Minorities, Senior Police officers and Commissioner of all divisions of Sindh including MNA Dr. Ramesh Kumar.

The meeting reviewed the implementation status of order of the Supreme Court of Pakistan for certain issues pertained to the department of Education, Home, Minorities and Sindh Police. All concerned officers elucidated the progress regarding appropriate curricula development at school/college levels, Special Police Force for protecting worship places for minorities and violation of any of the rights guaranteed under the law and minorities quota in employment.

The Chief Secretary has sought comprehensive reports from the concerned secretaries to this effect within 15 days. He also asked to ensure implementation of the orders/decisions of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
