Karachi: India and Sri Lanka have confirmed their participation in 2nd South Asian Men Netball Championship, which will be held next month at PSB Complex in Islamabad.
The tournament is scheduled to run from June 23 to 26. The Indian netball team will be consisted of 12 players and four officials while the Sri Lankan netball team will be consisted of 12 player and five officials.
Secretary Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) Mudassir Arain said that PNF was waiting for the confirmation of Maldives and Nepal.
“Both the teams have assured that they will confirm their participation in the event by tonight (Tuesday night) since today is the last date for confirmation. Both the teams told as that they were facing financial problems so they will be sending reduced side. They said they will send a minimum of seven players and an official,” Mudassir told PPI.
PNF has already moved confirmation date once at the request of India, where elections were in full-swing.
