Iqbal role model for Muslim world scholars: Dr Mehdi


Karachi: Iranian Cultural Centre Karachi Director Dr. Mehdi Khatib said that Allama Iqbal is one of the most commendable and distinguished personalities of the Muslim world especially for Pakistan.

The vision of Iqbal served as a lifeline for the Islamic world and he is the role model for all the scholars of the Muslim world. He proved out to be a hero of the Islamic world who urged the society to write their fate on their own and not to depend on others to change their fate and destiny.

According to Iqbal, Islam is a religion of peace and harmony and he was a staunch supporter of the Sunnah e Rasool PBUH. If we want to revive our prestige, we should follow the footsteps of Allama Iqbal.

He was addressing in a Seminar entitled “Allama Iqbal : Ishq-E-Rasool PBUH” today 9th November 2015 at Arts Auditorium KU. Prof. Sahar Ansari said that we need to promote the humanitarian and peace loving teachings of Allama Iqbal. Young students must understand the vision and teaching of Iqbal and apply it in the real life. We cannot achieve success without following the teachings of Islam and The Holy Prophet PBUH.

Shabbir Hasan Mesmi said that Iqbal got all the recognition and fame due to his love for the Holy Prophet PBUH. We all should make the life of the Holy Prophet PBUH role model and spend our lives in accordance with the teachings of Quran and Sunnah.

Dean Science KU Prof. Dr. Arif Kamal said that Muslims ruled the world for centuries as the love for Mohammad PBUH was present in their heart; we can revive our honour and supremacy in the whole world. Our youth should carry forward the vision and teachings of Allama Iqbal.

A large number of dignitaries including Chairman Islamic Learning Prof. Dr. Zahid Ali Zahidi, Prof. Sahar Ansari, Prof. Dr. Jamil Kazmi, Prof. Dr. Abid Hasnain, Prof. Dr. Mutahir Ahmed and Prof. Dr. Anwar Ali Zaidi were present on the occasion.
