JI concerns over media bribe scandal

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh Secretary Information Mujahid Channa on Monday expressed concern on disclosure of the ministry of Information regarding payment to journalists and media houses an amount of Rs 308 million as deducted in audit report last year.

He said now it shows that the ruling party Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) like other governments has also left no any chance in covering it’s incompetence and failures and plundering the country’s wealth by bribing media. He said it is time to think for Sharif Brothers to review their claims about the rule of law and good governance.

Channa said looting country’s wealth and bribing journalists and media houses have exposed the claims of transparency, accountability and bringing to justice the corrupt elements.

He appealed the media house owners to hold accountable these journalists for accepting bribes.
