JI demands steps to save Karachi from urban flooding


KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has demanded urgent steps to save Karachi from urban flooding.

According to details, Naib Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Asadullah Bhutto and JI Karachi amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman visited the Lath Dam in Gadap Town on Wednesday and expressed concern on poor condition of its embankment.

Secretary JI Karachi Abdul Wahab, Younus Barai, Imran Shahid, Zahid Askari and others were also present.

Asadullah Bhutto said during o monsoon rains whole area goes in danger. He said the residents of Saadi Town had already faced these difficulties before.

He said JI’s leaders have already visited this area many times and met local people and reviewed the situation of area. He said there are not any arrangements taken by the government. No relief camp is set up here or engineers seen there.
