Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the Islamic movement has been deprived of a leader by the death of Dr Faqeer Hussain Hajazi.
He expressed these views while addressing a condolence reference held at Jamia Hanifia Farooqui Masjid in the memory of prominent Ulema including Maulana Faqeer Hussain Hajazi, Qari Qudratullah, Maulana Ataullah and Maulana Talat Mehmood.
Administrator Jamia Hanifia Mufti Inayat-ur-Rehman, Maulana Mohammad Yameen Mansoori, Maulana Abdul Bari, Maulana Mehmood Raheem, Maulana Ibrahim Hanif and others also spoke on the occasion.
Addressing the condolence reference, Hafiz Naeem and other speakers paid rich tributes to the departed souls and said that these Ulema had played their due role in spreading the teachings of Islam in society.
Hafiz Naeem said that he himself learned a lot by Maulana Faqeer Hussain during their long association of 17 years.
He urged the students and youth to follow the footsteps of Dr Faqeer Hussain and Ata-ul-Haq, as they served their entire life for spreading the teachings of Quran and Sunnat.
