KARACHI: Ameer Jamaat e Islami Sindh Dr Meraj ul Huda Siddiqui on Wednesday expressed deep concern over openly cheating culture in ongoing intermediate board exams in Sindh, including Karachi.
“Copying culture has pushed our society towards the darkness of ignorance. Consequently, fake degree holders and corrupt leadership is being prepared which would be equal to destruction of our young generation and educational system of the province,” he said.
“The government and the relevant organizations should take notice of this sorry situation of education. Rooting out copy culture is must for betterment of educational system and mental development of young generation. Unfortunately, the destruction of education could be seen from the fact that examination centres were being sold and the political mafias have ruined generations by practicing free corruption in examinations,” he said.
He said the students who refuse to pay money have to face such strictness that he himself or school administration had to settle the matter.
Siddiqui said people related to board were also somehow involved in corruption, therefore Sindh was receding in education rather than advancing and the present government was completely responsible for this.
