JI smells rate in Rs160mn water tanker grant

KARACHI: General Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh chaptr Mumtaz Sehtu has criticized approval of Rs160m for providing citizens of Karachi water through tankers. He said new records of corruption are being made by creating artificial crisis of water in the city rather than taking effective measures for a permanent solution of water crisis.

“The claimants of providing bread, cloth and shelter to the masses did not only act as per their election manifesto but they have also deprived the citizens of water due to their inability and corruption,” he said.

He said the rulers of Sindh have not given residents of Sindh anything except the gifts of corruption, looting, destruction of education, terrorism and unrest.

The JI leader stressed on just distribution of water in the city, avoiding more corruption and resolving the issue of water shortage on permanent basis for the sake of humanity.
