KARACHI: The Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center’s (JPMC) new administration, has introduced biometric system in hospital to ensure employee’s attendance and control taking day-off of staff, it is learnt on Wednesday.
The JPMC management in first phase had installed four biometric machines in various departments, while more biometric machines will be installed in hospital’s other departments very soon.
JPMC’s Executive Director Prof Anees Bhatti introduced the biometric system in the institution to ensure medical staff’s right attendance, and in first phase, four new eye lance machines had been installed in different departments. The four biometric machines have been installed in BMSI, Executive Director Office, Security Office and Gynecology Department. The employees have been directed to ensure their biometric attendance during arrival and depart times.
JPMC’s Deputy Director Security Dr Sikander Hayat said the hospitals’ new administration had introduced various reforms in institution to provide better health facilities to general public and hoped that citizens will avail quality health facilities very soon.
He informed JPMC administration had introduced biometric attendance system to ensure attendance and stop the unnecessary leaves by the staff. He said step will help improve patients’ care.
