KARACHI: Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) administration has introduced mobile security in hospital to curb the crimes in the premises of healthcare for day and night shifts.
The JPMC administration handed over ambulance to police men deputed in hospital for patrolling during rush hours and also for night shift. The step has been taken by the administration to control the crimes and violence incidents against health practitioners in the premises of hospital, senior official confirmed.
He said administration requested the area police for more police personnel deployment and offered provision of ambulance for mobile patrolling in the premises of hospital. He said area police officers responded positively to administration and deputed police men for mobile security.
He informed that administration beard the fuel and other expenditures of police personnel during shift duties. He informed that area police deputed personnel for security duty of hospital for day and night shifts.
He hoped the introduction of mobile security in hospital would help to reduce the thefts cases, illegal parking of vehicles and entrance of unauthorized people in the premises of hospital during rush hours.
The JPMC staff welcomed the step taken by administration for improving security in hospital.
