JPMC launches crackdown on substandard food sellers


KARACHI: Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center’s (JPMC) administration has launched crackdown against health hazardous food sellers in the hospital’s premises.

JPMC’s Deputy Director Admininstration and Focal Person, Dr Jawaid Jamali, said the crackdown against substandard eatable item sellers has been launched in the healthcare’s premises to save patients’ health. He said that JPMC’s Supervisor Asghar Abbasi had started action against the sellers involved in the sale of substandard soft drink, fruit and other fast foods that are hazardous to human’s health.

He said the drive has been started on the directives of JPMC’s Executive Director, which continue till acheiving the goals. Jamali said a warning has also been issued to security guards allowing substandard soft drinks and other food items’ sale at the hospital.
