Karachi: Karachi deserves better civic facilities and this would only be possible when the Karachiites use their power of vote prudently, said former Karachi Mayor Niamatullah Khan here Monday.
He said the people of Karachi want a change and this change would come through ballot. He said Karachi is the most beautiful city of Pakistan but sadly it has been plunged to darkness and deprivation. He said however, presently the situation is gradually improving and the Karachiites have also heaved a sigh of relief. He said it needs that the Karachiites come out of their homes on December 5 and exercise their power of vote freely and fearlessly.
He said those sitting in the corridors of power for more than 30 years have even failed to resolve the water shortage and public transport issue of Karachi.
He said the historic welcome of Jammat Islami (JI) amir Sirajul Haq and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in Karachi is the proof of the changing mood of Karachiites, which he warmly welcomed.
