Karachi sizzles as mercury touches 41


Karachi: Karachi braved a sizzling weather on Monday when mercury touched 41 degrees centigrade. At noontime most of the streets wore a deserted look and people opted to remain indoors. A large number of people went to beach to beat the heat. The demand of ice and cold beverages suddenly went up in the city.

Overall the heat wave persisted in whole Sindh.

However, the Met Office has forecast hot and dry weather in Karachi on Tuesday with minimum temperature between 38-40 degrees centigrade.

Hot/ very hot and dry weather has been forecast for Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Larkana divisions.

On Monday the highest maximum temperature of 43 degree centigrade was reordered at Turbat while lowest minimum of 7.5 at Kalat.
