KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court-II (ATC-II) on Tuesday remanded two suspects to judicial custody for two weeks in murder case. On expiry of police custody remand accused Irfan and Shahjahan alias Rizwan were send to judicial remand till 14th April 2014. Police produced both suspects before ATC-II judge under tight security.
According to the prosecution, both suspects were involved in murder of one Mohammad Ishaq in North Karachi on 31st January 2014. Ishaq was director anti encroachment in Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
Both suspects were arrested during a raid conducted by police within limits of Bilal Colony police station on 13th March 2014. Police had recovered one 9mm pistol from their possessions.
A case FIR (20/2014) was registered against suspects at the Bilal colony police station under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section-7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
