KU syndicate approves retirement age to be 65

KARACHI: Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Dr Muhammed Qaiser while presiding the syndicate meeting unanimously approved retirement age for teachers in the university to be 65, increasing from 60.

Prof Dr Muhammed Ahmed Qadri in a written suggestion told the syndicate that in most of the countries in the world the retirement age was 65. In neighboring country senior teachers were given special benefits and allowed working until 65 or more. Therefore, keeping in view the vast experience of the university teachers their retirement age should be 65.

The syndicate of KU endorsed the suggestion and approved it unanimously.
