Lahore attacked widely condemned

Karachi: The leaders of religious parties in a joint press conference have strongly condemned the bomb blast at Youhanabad Church in Lahore.

The joint press conference was held at Idara-e-Noor Haq here on Wednesday.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh Chief Dr Mairaj-ul-Huda Siddiqui, General Secretary JUI-F Sindh Allama Rashid Mehmood Soomro, JUP leader Sahebzada Ghaus Sabri, leader JUP-Noorani Group Qazi Ahmed Noorani, Jamiat Ahle Hadith leader Mohammad Afzal Sardar and others were also present.

They demanded of the government to take effective measures in order to ensure proper safety in and around seminaries and worship places.

They termed the Lahore attack a conspiracy of anti-state elements. They were of the view that the anti-Islam powers want to create anarchy in the country.

They regretted the incident of setting ablaze two innocent men alive and torching the national flag in the name of protest.
