Lahore incident: MQM announces day of mourning

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday announced to observe a country-wide day of mourning on Wednesday against the killing of Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers in Lahore.

MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that opening fire on the arm-less protesters was a barbaric act which had exposed the enemies of democracy.

MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi appealed to traders, industrialists, shopkeepers and transporters to participate in the day of mourning voluntarily.
