Land inspector injured during encroachment removal

KARACHI:,,, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation anti-encroachments squad, in an operation on Monday, has removed encroachments from Malir Kala Board area amid high resistance, in which some miscreants pelted stones and opened firing on the squad injuring a land inspector.

Land Inspector Imran got injured when the people of land mafia attacked the KMC squad. However, it could not stop the squad from the operation, in which a large number of patharas, thellas, paan shops and other encroachments were removed from the area. The encroachments were hindering the flow of traffic and creating problem for pedestrians also.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chairman Task Force Bilal Manzar. Additional Director Salman Khaleeq, Incharge District Korangi Nihal Ahmed Siddiqui, Deputy Director District Korangi Asif Jithya, Incharge Malir District Naseem ul Ghani and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.
