KARACHI: The lawyers community observed strike here on Friday against the killing of advocate Waqar Shah.
The lawyers boycotted proceedings of Sindh High Court and other city courts.
The boycott affected the litigants who had to return back disappointed as their cases could not be heard.
Lawyer Waqar was shot dead by unidentified armed men in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Thursday while he was on his way to a court after leaving his house.
Shah was the vice president of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz lawyers wing.
Meanwhile, District Public Prosecutor Abdul Maroof in a statement condemned the murder of his colleague and demanded of the government to take steps for improving the law and order situation in Karachi.
