Karachi: Upcoming local bodies elections are a big challenge and the party workers should get them prepared for them, said leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), addressing an Eid Millan gathering here Monday.
The gathering was arranged by JI District East chapter at a local marriage hall lawn at Abul Hassan Isphahani Road.
JI leaders Asadullah Bhutto, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Osama Razi, Mohammad Yunus Barai, Muzaffar Iqbal and others spoke. They said their party has been working to make this country a true Islamic welfare state. They said the prevailing system based on injustice and inequality must go, so that the real purpose of the creation of Pakistan could be achieved.
They said their party would fully contest the coming local government polls and the workers should complete their preparations in this regard. They stressed for door-to-door meetings and contacts to deliver the message of Jamaat-e-Islami to voters.
