Liquid foreign reserves reach $18,201.5m


KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday announced that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$18,201.5 million on 26 June 2015.

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is: foreign reserves held by the SBP stood at US$13,088.2 million; net foreign reserves held by banks reached US$5,113.3 million; and total liquid foreign reserves stood at US$18,201.5 million.

During the week ending 26 June 2015, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves increased by US$772million to US$13,088 million, compared to US$12,316 million in the previous week. This increase is mainly attributed to receipts of US$756 million from World Bank.
