Liquid foreign reserves reach $ 19,746.3 million


KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday announced that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 19,746.3 million on 06 November2015.

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: Foreign reserves held by SBP stood US$ 14,704.2 million; net foreign reserves held by banks remained US$ 5,042.1 million; and total liquid foreign reserves reached US$ 19,746.3 million.

During the week ending 06 November 2015, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$ 117 million to US$ 14,704 million, compared to US$ 14,821 million in the previous week. The decrease in reserves is mainly attributed to payments of US$ 108 million on account on external debt servicing.
