Liquid foreign reserves recorded at $18,536m


KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday announced that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$18,536.0 million on 24 July 2015.

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: Foreign reserves held by the SBP stood US$ 13,385.8 million; Net foreign reserves held by banks remained US$ 5,150.2 million; Total liquid foreign reserves reached US$ 18,536.0 million.

During the week ending 24 July 2015, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$157million to US$13,386 million, compared to US$13,543 million in the previous week.

During the week, SBP made payments of US$92 million on account of External debt servicing.
