To a query regarding delay in tax exemption on equipment to JICA from Sindh government, he said that the cabinet had approved the exemption while the summary for the exemption would be signed soon after encroachment on the KCR track is cleared and JICA would agree to bring its equipment.

He said that the provincial government was committed to complete KCR project within the tenure of the current government and there was no hindrance from any quarter in this regard.

He said that the provincial government was sincere in resolving transport issues of the city and said that not only KCR project but the government had also approved 380 buses to be run on Karachi roads.

“In this mass transit project, we will be launching three colour buses which included yellow line, green line and red line,” adding that the government had invited tenders and the successful bidders would be given tender in 45 days and the project will be completed within five-years.
