KARACHI: The affectees of Moon Garden, an illegal built building, on Thursday approached the Sindh High Court (SHC) seeking an stay in its order of evacuating the apartment.
SHC bench, headed by Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, heard the plea filed by the affectees who requested it to stay its order regarding the demolition of the apartment after evacuation. The court observed that the plea is non-maintainable and rejected it.
Eelier, while giving its verdict on the petition filed by Railway Cooperative Society on 29th September, SHC directed police and other departments concerned to remove encroachments and evacuate the land, but On 3rd November, when SHC’s order was not complied with, it issued notice to the Inspector General of Sindh Police as to why proceeding for disobedience of this court dated 29th September should not be initiated against him. His response should be on record within a week’s time.
