MQM withdraws appeal of keeping business closed


KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) on Tuesday night reviewed its call for observing mourning day across the country and appealed transporters and business community to run their vehicles and businesses as usual on Wednesday.

According to Coordination Committee of MQM the decision was taken after considering requests of transporters and small enterprisers for withdrawing of the appeal earlier given by MQM for keeping all businesses closed and public transport vehicles offf roads in order to record a protest police action against Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in Lahore.

However, the coordination committee has appealed to people to hoist black flags and hold congregation for recitation from the holy Quran for eternal peace of the martyrs of Lahore incident.
