Nawaz asked to steer country out of crisis

KARACHI: The founder and leader of MQM Altaf Hussain has made a solemn and earnest appeal to the Prime Minister of Pakistan to play a constructive role to steer Pakistan out of crisis. The MQM chief said that he had made this appeal because Pakistan’s security and survival is at stake.

“Mian Nawaz Sharif holds an important post. Pakistan is facing internal and external challenges. The situation demands that he should not waste time and take into confidence the law makers in the National Assembly and Senate to build a consensus in order to tackle internal challenges faced by the nation.

He can also convene an all parties conference for this purpose. Nawaz Sharif is the prime minister of Pakistan. “The person who holds this post must be responsible and generous. In this crisis, the prime minister should not desert the nation. He must come forward and lead the nation. We have got this democracy after rendering enormous sacrifices,” Hussain said in a statement released from London.

“Our country is economically weak and needs foreign aids for its survival. We need national solidarity and harmony among people and good relations among the institutions,” Hussain said.

He said that prime minister and colleagues should pay attention to his recommendations.
