KARACHI: NED Teachers Association’ (NETA) President Prof Dr Usman Ali Shah, NED Employees Association’ (NEDEA) Vice-President Abdul Qadir Gabol on Thursday demanded of their Vice-Chancellor to give them Eid advance salary and leave encashment facility.
Dr Usman said if employees of other universities of Sindh including University of Karachi (KU), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), University of Sindh (UoS) are getting benefits including Eid advance salaries and leave encashment then why only the NED University of Engineering and Technology’ (NEDUET) teaching and non teaching staff has been ignored in this regard for last three years.
Dr Usman demanded the Sindh government to take notice of this injustice as frustration is spreading among the teaching and non-teaching staff.
Qadir Gabol said tension is present between NEDUET’s Administration and employees as they have not been given their due rights for last few years. He said University’ administration assured them they will do something for them in connection with Eid Advance salaries and leave encashment but they have not been benefited the employees as yet.
He said they have also to support and celebrate Eid with peace of mind but they have been ignored every year.
Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association’ (FAPUASA) Sindh Chapter President Prof Dr Ayaz Ali Kerio said it is very frustrating when Eid comes the employees do not get their due benefits. He demanded the NEDUET’ authorities to issue the Eid advance salary and leave encashment benefits to their employees.
