KARACHI: The competent authority i.e Minister Health has finalized the nomination of “Committee of the purpose of recommendation for nomination of Commissioners” under section- 5(9) of Sindh Health Care Commission Act-2013 and issued notification in this regard.
According to the notification, nomination of “Committee of the purpose of recommendation for nomination of Commissioners” committee comprising on following; health minister (chairman), secretary health, vice Chancellor of Sindh Medical University Karachi, Vice Chancellor ISRA university Hyderabad, President/ Secretary General of PMA Sindh, President/secretary General of private Hospital Association, representative of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan Sindh Chapter, Executive Director Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and representative of General Practitioners.
The committee members will select 14 commissioners initially and selected members names will be sent to health minister (chairman) who will finalize names of seven commissioners. However, names of two commissioners will be announced later by the health department.
These nine nominated commissioners will assign to register the private hospitals, labs, dispensaries and clinics across the Sindh province. The commissioners will also fix the rates of diagnostics tests, consultation and other treatment fees on equal basis across the province.
