One killed, four wounded in firing incidents


KARACHI: One person was killed and four others were injured in separate firing incidents in the metropolis on Monday.

According to rescue sources, a man, Mateen, 65, son of Yaseen, was shot dead and a youth, Fahad, 22, son of Tehseen, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Abdullah Morr in Surjani Town area. The deceased and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

In another incident, a 30-year-old man, Ahmed, son of Mohammad Umer, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near Old Haji Camp at Lyari. He was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

Yet in another firing incident, a youth, Amroz Khan, son of Feroz Khan, aged about 25, a resident of Landhi, was shot and wounded by unknown gunmen near Rally Goth. The firing incident was due to old enmity. The injured was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JMPC) for treatment.

Separately, a youth, Fahad Khan, 25, son of Ibad Ali was severely injured by unknown persons over a personal dispute in Korangi area. He was brought to (JPMC) for treatment.
