One killed, seven injured in road mishaps


KARACHI: One person was killed and seven others were injured in separate road mishaps in the city on Sunday.

A man, Sadiq, 35, resident of Landhi, was killed when a fast moving vehicle hit him near Dawood Chowrangi in Landhi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, a woman, Zaitoon Bibi, 55, wife of Abdul Qadir, was injured in road accident near KTA Apartment on Nazimabad road. She was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.

Yet in another incident, two persons, Khalid, 50, son of Gul Hassan, and Liaquat, 64, son of Azeem, residents of Landhi, were injured when a fast moving vehicle hit them on Shahrah-e-Faisal near Drigh road . The injured were rushed to JPMC for treatment.

Meanwhile, two persons, Bashir, 34, son of Akhtar, and Nizam, 17, son of Sadiq, were injured when a fast moving vehicle hit them in Orangi Town. They were shifted to ASH for treatment.

Separately, a minor girl, Kiran, 5, daughter of Shahzad, resident of Landi, was injured in road accident near Landi Dawood Chowrangi. The injured was rushed to JPMC for treatment.

Furthermore, a youth, Adnan, 20, son of Fareed, resident of Orangi town was injured when a fast moving vehicle hit him near Haidri in North Nazimabad. He was rushed to ASH for treatment.
