One killed, two injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI: One person was killed and two others were injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Friday.

According to rescue sources, a 28-year-old man, Sakhi Zaman, son of Naseeb Zaman, a resident of Peerabad, Orangi Town, was gunned down by unknown armed men near Chaki Hotel in Qasba Colony. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

In another firing incident, a woman, identified as Abida, aged about 35, wife of Adeel, a resident of Chhota Gate near airport, was shot and injured by unknown robbers in her home when she offered resistance during the robbery. The injured was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JMPC) for treatment.

Separately, a man, Mohammad Ramzan, 45, son of M Yasin, was found wounded with torture marks on his body, from Shah Nawaz Bhutto Colony in North Karachi. The injured was brought to ASH for treatment.
