Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Club thrashed Paposh Nagar Cricket Club by eight wickets while Orangi Star Cricket Club overpowered Shama Sports by 48 runs in KCCA Zone VI Abdul Badar Memorial Cricket Tournament here at KCCA Stadium and Afza Ground respectively.
Paposh Nagar Cricket Club batted first against Pakistan CC and scored a paltry total of 99 runs before losing all of their wickets in 26.1 overs. Mohammad Ahmed top scored for the side with 26 runs. Adnan Kalim and Irfanuddin bowled lethally and shared six wickets equally between them.
Pakistan Cricket Club in response easily achieved the target scoring 102-2 in 12.4 overs. Shaharyar Ghani played an unbeaten 55-run knock with the help of three sixes and two boundaries.
Meanwhile, Orangi Star Cricket Club batted first and scored a modest total of 140 runs before losing all of their wickets in 26 overs. Fraz Aas Mohammad (42 runs) and Asad Hayat (33 runs) batted well for the side. Mohammad Suffiyan bowled lethally and a four-wicket haul.
Shama Sports in reply failed to take the advantage to achieve a small total on board and lost all of their wickets in 26.1 overs with 92 runs on board. Mohammad Talha (33 runs) was the top scorer for the side. Ayaz Khan and Mohammad Ejaz captured three wickets each.
