KARACHI: Pakistan Day was observed across Sindh, including Karachi, with enthusiasm and great zeal. The day dawned with special prayers in mosques. People belonging to all segments of society held ceremonies in all major cities of Sindh to show great love with country. They also vowed to work for the progress and prosperity of the country.
The political and religious leaders also vowed to give sacrifice for the integrity of the country. Special meals and sweets were also served to jail inmates and among people.
Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and provincial parliamentarians visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azim Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, offered Fateha and laid a wreath on it.
He wrote his impressions in guest book. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, provincial ministers and MPAs were also present on the occasion.
