Pakistan Helpline Welfare sign MoU with Hashmani Hospital


Karachi: The signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pakistan Helpline Welfare Organization and Hashmani Hospital was held here on Wednesday.

Administrator Hashmani Hospital Azher Nisar Khan and President Pakistan Helpline Welfare Organization Syed Qaiser Mehmood attended the ceremony. According to MoU, the Hashmani Hospital administration would facilitate cataract extraction treatment of PHL members on discount rates.

President PHL Syed Qaiser Mehmood said Hashmani Hospital would facilitate cataract extraction treatment of poor and destitute people. He said around 3,000 PHL members would be able to get latest treatment about cataract on 80 percent discount rate under agreement.

Administrator Hashmani Hospital Azher Nisar Khan said significant a number of people were suffering from cataract disease in Pakistan. He said hospital would provide advance cataract extraction treatment to PHL members on discount rates. He said treatment of cataract on early stages of the disease had much better outcome and if ignored, it could result in complications of glaucoma which is not treatable at that stage.
