KARACHI: A partial strike was being observed on Wednesday in different parts of Sindh on the call of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) against arrest of the party workers and opposing Pakistan Protection Bill.
The shutter down strike was being observed in Ghotki, Nawabshah, Daulatpur, Qazi Ahmed, Sakrand, Kandhkot, Guddu, Dadu, Johi, Mehar, Khairpur Nathanshah, Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana and other parts of Sindh. Business activities, transport, petrol pumps and schools remained closed.
On the other hand, routine life was affected in Golarchi, Badin, Matli, Tando Bago and Talhar. Traffic remained thin on the roads. A partial strike was also observed in several areas of Hyderabad and Naushehro Feroze. Pockets of Sindhi-Balochi speaking localities in Karachi also remained shut.
Tension also prevailed in some parts of the province as cracker attacks were reported on Tuesday night after the party announced its strike.
