KARACHI: Experts have stressed that there is dire need of involvement of youth to achieving their health-related rights.
They were speaking at 2nd Youth ASK Leadership conference organized by ASK in collaboration with Rutgers WPF Pakistan that ended in Islamabad on November 9. It was aimed at to get together youth who are actively engaged in promoting their health rights in their respective areas to form an extensive alliance of young people at appropriate forums.
Country Representative Rutgers WPF Pakistan Qadeer Baig said that we need young people, who comprise of more than half of population of Pakistan today, to take the mantle and lead the way forward’. He pledged necessary support to Youth Alliance that was elected in the meeting.
Netherlands’ Ambassador Jeannette Seppen addressed the opening ceremony.
Other speakers included Human Rights, Law and Justice Department’s Director General Mohammad Hassan Mangi and JSI’s Chief Nabeela Ali.
