PCG seizes heroin worth Rs 100m

KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) said on Thursday that it has seized fine quality of heroin worth Rs 100 million from Bakhar Naka check post near Winder in Balochstan.

PCG officials received information from some intelligence sources about the smuggling of narcotics through RCD Highway. Different passenger buses were stopped for checking at check post near Winder. During checking of a passenger bus, PCG officials recovered approximately eight kilograms of heroin from an unclaimed bag in the bus. The passenger bus was moving from Quetta to Karachi.

After complete search, the bus was released being a public carrier. Approximately value of the heroin in international market is Rs100 million. Further investigation was underway.
