PML-N,MQM-P, JUI-F allege poll rigging
KARACHI:Political parties – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) have alleged that rigging had been committed in general elections 2018.
PML-N leader Maryam Aurangzeb levelled allegations of rigging in the elections. She said in a press conference in Lahore that rigging in the elections was committed behind closed doors. She said that PML-N would not accept election results as they were artificial results.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman also rejected election results as saying rigging had been committed in the polls. He said he would host an All Parties Conference to discuss alleged rigging in elections. Talking to reporters, Fazl said his party had rejected election results, adding he had discussed the situation with PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif.
Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) alleged that pre-poll rigging had been committed in the general election. MQM-P leader Faisal Sabzwari in a press conference here alleged that the pre-poll rigging was committed in delimitation of constituencies. He charged that irregularities were seen in some polling stations.
(PML-N chief Shehbaz Sharif has also rejected the poll results as saying deliberate rigging had been committed in the polls, which was a matter of great concern.
