KARACHI: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) City Shiraz Nazir on Thursday claimed to have killed three members of Lyari gang war in two separate encounters in the city.
SSP said that two gang war accused, Majid and Akhtar, were killed in a joint encounter of police and rangers in Saifee Lane in Lyari.
He said that the accused belonged to Sheraz Comrade group and involved in murders, extortion, kidnappings and other heinous crimes. Hand grenades and weapons were also recovered from their possession, said SSP.
Nazir said that one gang war accused, Kashif alias Mota was killed in a police encounter in Old City Area. SSP said that he was affiliated with Sohail Dada group and involved in target killing and kidnapping for ransom.
