Professor, four others shot dead in city incidents


KARACHI: Five people were shot dead and four others injured in separate incidents here on Monday. According to details, dead bodies of four unknown people, aged between 30 and 35, were found near KWSB Pumping Station in Gharo, suburban area of Karachi, Chhipa sources said. The victims were killed in firing. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Thatta for medico-legal formalities.

A professor of government college, Saifuddin, was gunned down and another person sustained injuries due to firing near Gharibabad underpass in Gharibabad.

A man, Abid, 20, son of Nawaz, resident of Al-Asif Square, was injured as a result of stabbing at his home in Al-Asif Square area, Sohrab Goth. The injured was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment.

Two real brothers, Talha, 13, and Mustaqeem, 26, sons of Muslim, were shot injured, resisting a robbery at their home near Pakistan Chowk in Gulshan-e-Zia. The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
