Rail men demand 50pc increase in salary


KARACHI: On the eve of Labors Day, Railway Workers Union (RWU) on Friday took out a rally from City Railway Station to Karachi Press Club and demanded to increase their salaries and pensions by 50%.

The protestors, carrying placards and banners, raised slogans against injustice with laborers and government’s privatization policy.

During protest, RWU’s Central Chairman Manzoor Razi, General Secretary Rao Naseem, Divisional President Ghulam Ali Butt, leaders from other unions, Manzoor Malah, Niaz Hussain Khaskheli, Abdul Qadir Solangi, Paras Khan while presiding over the protestors, they paid a tribute to Chicago martyrs. They said series of injustice with labors should be stopped; all the labors should be paid as inflation situations. They demanded to held referendum process to elect labor friendly personality.

In rally protestors also shouted slogans of Mazdoor Inqilad Zindabad.
